Waiting for Saint Nicholas

Saint Nicholas was a rich young man and a very devout christian. After his parents died,he did what Jesus have taught us : "sell what you own and give the money to the poor" .By his example of generosity to those in need, especially children, St. Nicholas continues to be a model for the compassionate life.Widely celebrated in Europe, St. Nicholas' feast day, December 6th, kept alive the stories of his goodness and generosity.

In the night of 5 december all the kids put their boots at the door so Saint Nicholas will leave them presents inside .

It was sooo nice when i was a child and i was so exciting and always tried to catch him while he visits my house....mmmm,unfortunetely i haven't seen him until now :D but he is alive through his kind heart for poor and children.
I cannot forget the presents from my grandma (left by Saint Nicholas there,of course): she put me in a bag nuts, biscuits, gloves and socks made by her, apples and some cents because she was poor and couldn't afford more. But i swear her present was more precious than any other expensive present.
Now,in my family nobody respects this tradition anymore :( ,i know nobody will put me a gift but i still like to remember the old times since i was a child. So i will put my boots at the door, who knows maybe a miracle will happen.
