Have you ever seen a king washing the feet of his subordinates?

 In the day of Thursday ,Jesus Christ gave us a real exemple of humility : the Son of God Himself ,the king of the kings bowed down in front of His followers and washed their feet. This service was usually made by the lowest ranking person.What is more humble than that? Before this ,His disciples had a discussion about who will be the greatest in heaven and Jesus explained them the greatest people are not the warriors or leaders but those who are like children -powerless,obedient and humble.

 

Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.(John 13:16)
 اَلْحَقَّ الْحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ عَبْدٌ أَعْظَمَ مِنْ سَيِّدِهِ، وَلاَ رَسُولٌ أَعْظَمَ مِنْ مُرْسِلِهِ.

 The second important thing of this day was the last supper of Jesus with His disciples. He knew His end is near so He ate for the last time with His 12 disciples. He said the bread is His body and the wine is His blood and He asked us to do this in His remembrance that's why after we confess our sins ,the priest gives us a little piece of bread and a little spoon of wine- this is holy food and can make miracles because it represents the body and the blood of Jesus Himself.

"And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them saying, 'This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me'" (Luke 22:19).
Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you."
وَأَخَذَ خُبْزًا وَشَكَرَ وَكَسَّرَ وَأَعْطَاهُمْ قَائِلاً: «هذَا هُوَ جَسَدِي الَّذِي يُبْذَلُ عَنْكُمْ. اِصْنَعُوا هذَا لِذِكْرِي».
وَكَذلِكَ الْكَأْسَ أَيْضًا بَعْدَ الْعَشَاءِ قَائِلاً:«هذِهِ الْكَأْسُ هِيَ الْعَهْدُ الْجَدِيدُ بِدَمِي الَّذِي يُسْفَكُ عَنْكُمْ.

 Jesus said to His disciples that one of them will betray Him "It would be better for him if he had not been born"-He did not mention His name so He left them in doubts

"Now while they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them, "The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill Him, and the third day He will be raised up." And they were exceedingly sorrowful." (Matthew 17:22, 23)
وَفِيمَا هُمْ يَتَرَدَّدُونَ فِي الْجَلِيلِ قَالَ لَهُمْ يَسُوعُ:«ابْنُ الإِنْسَانِ سَوْفَ يُسَلَّمُ إِلَى أَيْدِي النَّاسِ
فَيَقْتُلُونَهُ، وَفِي الْيَوْمِ الثَّالِثِ يَقُومُ». فَحَزِنُوا جِدًّا.

 In the same day,Juda comes with the soldiers to give Jesus in their hands. For a bag of money,He betrays Him and so he fulfills the old prophecies written in the Old Testament /Torah

  One of the biggest exemple of peace and love is Jesus's reaction when Peter cuts the ear of a soldier in order to defend Him.

"Put up again the sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword".(Matthiew 26:52)

فَقَالَ لَهُ يَسُوعُ: «رُدَّ سَيْفَكَ إِلَى مَكَانِهِ. لأَنَّ كُلَّ الَّذِينَ يَأْخُذُونَ السَّيْفَ بِالسَّيْفِ يَهْلِكُونَ!

David prophecied with hundred years ago that Jesus will be betrayed by His friend with whom He ate:

"Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me." (psalms 41:9)
أَيْضًا رَجُلُ سَلاَمَتِي، الَّذِي وَثِقْتُ بِهِ، آكِلُ خُبْزِي، رَفَعَ عَلَيَّ عَقِبَهُ!

Zachariah prophecied with hundred years ago that the Lord will be sold for 30 silver pieces:

" And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver."(Zachariah 11:12)

فَقُلْتُ لَهُمْ: «إِنْ حَسُنَ فِي أَعْيُنِكُمْ فَأَعْطُونِي أُجْرَتِي وَإِلاَّ فَامْتَنِعُوا». فَوَزَنُوا أُجْرَتِي ثَلاَثِينَ مِنَ الْفِضَّةِ.
